Here at Moxi Events we know a thing or two about working from home and since that is what a lot of us are now doing, we thought we could share a few of our team members tips and tricks! We also linked a few of our favorite ‘WFH’ products because it wouldn’t be Moxi if there wasn’t some type of shopping involved, right?
â˘Rule Number #1 – ALWAYS change out of your pajamas and get ready for the day! Now, we are not saying that you have to put on a full face of makeup, but we find it super helpful to wash our face, brush our teeth, and change out of what we slept in… UNLESS we finished more than 1 bottle of wine the night before.. that is the ONLY exception to this rule!! đ Check out some of our favorite loungewear below…

â˘Create a TO-DO list. There is nothing more satisfying than checking things off a list!
â˘Make sure to have a comfortable chair for your work space. Also – sit up straight!! Posture is key.
â˘Invest in a good pair of noise cancelling headphones.. yes, say it again, noise cancelling headphones! Whether you have kids or dogs at home creating a distraction or really just need to hunker down and focus, these will do the trick. These have been a total game changer for our team. Our favorite are the Apple AirPods.
â˘Use speaker phone. This might sound silly to some – but trust us – it is exhausting holding a phone to your ear all day and your skin will thank you later đ
â˘EAT. Food = Fuel. Do not forget to eat breakfast and lunch! Sometimes it is easy to get so lost in your laptop that when you lookup it is 3pm and you haven’t had a proper meal for the day.
â˘Pre-prepared snacks are a must as well. Grazing has becoming a hobby of all of us here at Moxi at one time or another  and yes, we may have all done a conference call inside our pantries before. â˘Open your windows. Nothing like some natural light to get the brain juices flowing!
â˘Find a good playlist or podcast.
â˘Take breaks! Yes, it is okay to take breaks and we all need it. Do some jumping jacks, put in a load of laundry, walk your dog around the block.. just get your body moving and step away from your work space for a bit. This helps bring back focus and motivation!
â˘Lastly – make sure to check-in with your coworkers, especially now more than ever!! Send a text, funny email, or do a virtual happy hour, but don’t forget about your team.
