The 2014 Annual Blue-Gray Championship was held at the beautiful Streamsong Resort in Streamsong, Florida. This Ryder Cup style golf tournament took place between the North and South groups of a high-end luxury automotive company and for the second year in a row, the North took the championship title.
When it comes to golf at Streamsong there is no comparison. Because for the first time in their considerable careers, renowned golf architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw of Coore & Crenshaw, and Tom Doak of Renaissance Golf Design, worked side-by-side simultaneously to create two extraordinary 18-hole golf masterpieces—both of which were specifically designed to be walked and offer the ultimate golfing experience. These courses, the Red and Blue, were respectively named the #1 and #3 public Golf Courses in Florida. In addition, the clubhouse was named the “US Clubhouse of the Year” by Golf Inc.
This beautiful resort was the perfect setting for this three-day tournament. The group was able to take part in a putting tournament, have a Q&A with professional golfer, Jason Day and watch a daily recap of the days’ events via a Sports-Centeresque tv spot produced by GoTV. Even though the North took the title, this was a memorable experience for both groups!
