Moxi events recently planned an “Under the Big Top” themed event for a nationwide cable provider at the Sheraton Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Moxi transformed a typical ballroom in to a circus tent when the walls of the ballroom were surrounded in red and white drape to make it feel like the guests were under the big top. The tables were decorated with centerpieces and circus marquee style letters that spelled out the client’s name.
Guests also had the opportunity to smile at the photo booth with props to remember the night in a picture. To make the space seem even more carnival like, Moxi set up games like skeeball, milk jug toss and whack a mole. There were tarot card readers and palm readers that had extra long lines all night!
As guests arrived, they were greeted by stilt walkers, unicyclists, jugglers and atmospheric circus performers. Jesters handed out light up necklaces, rings and wands.
There were small stages set up where the performers did short acts. And during dinner, a three ring circus act performed in the center of the dining area. There was a magician, contortionist, unicyclist that juggled and then the finale was the Russian Bar Trio from America’s Got Talent. As the night came to a close, the guests had late night snacks which included mini hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, cotton candy and funnel cakes.
