The holidays are the perfect time to visit New York City and Moxi Events recently planned an incentive trip to the Big Apple! This automotive client held their event just a few weeks before Christmas when NYC was at its busiest and most festive.
The group stayed at the Baccarat Hotel which is a new gem of a hotel in NYC across from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). It is absolutely beautiful, exquisite and opulent from the bar to the rooms, they thought of all the details. There are Baccarat crystal chandeliers everywhere and every piece of glassware is Baccarat.
The client decided to make the trip a shopping spree, so each couple received American Express gift cards to use while shopping in NYC.
The first morning we did a buyout of Chevalier, the restaurant at Baccarat. The group had a leisurely breakfast and as it concluded, each couple met their personal shopper for the day. After they got to know their shopper they headed out for the day to shop til they dropped!
In the evening, the guests were treated to a private shopping experience at Cartier. The Cartier store at 5th Avenue and 59th Street closed early exclusively for our group. The evening was called Cartier & Caviar. Cartier was fully staffed for our event. Each woman in the group was presented with a Love Ring by her significant other before the Cartier shopping experience. They were able to keep it or switch out the ring for something more to their liking. When the group arrived to Cartier, they were greeted with red carpet, stanchions and Cartier pages. The guests were treated to caviar, passed hors d’oeuvres and lots of cocktails. Following Cartier, the group dined at one of New York City’s most exclusive restaurants: Eleven Madison Park.
The second morning the group enjoyed a private breakfast at Freds at Barneys followed by a pop-up shop with many of Barneys top items. Then the second night, each couple had an evening to themselves for what we called “Date Night.” The couples chose their dinner location and the Broadway show they wanted to see. Hamilton, Beautiful and Something Rotten were top picks.
The final night was the icing on the cake. The guests were surprised with a dinner at a famous designer’s private residence in Greenwich Village. The guests spent the evening hosted by the designer for an unforgettable evening.
A few amenities from the trip include; Cartier champagne, Broadway show CD and cookbook to correlate with their date night, a vase signed by the designer, monogrammed pillow and scented candle. Last but not least, Moxi loves a good celebrity sighting and on this trip we saw more then we can count…some of our favorites were: Martha Stewart, Michael Jordan, Bethany Frankel and Ice Cube!
