Last week we had the opportunity to go on a cruise of a lifetime. We took a group on a Riviera Cruise that allowed them to see some of the best sights in the world. The trip started with everyone flying into Barcelona and boarding the ship there. Our attendees flew in either the night before or the morning of and had time to explore beautiful Barcelona before boarding the ship. To start the trip off right, we hosted a private cocktail reception and dinner our first night on board to get the group acquainted with one another.
Our group could not wait until they get off at all of the amazing ports and explore. Some of the favorite ports were Port Vendre, Monte Carlo, Porotfino, and Canne. Every single port offered amazing activities. Some of our favorite activities were:
Wine Tasting in Nice
-Wine tasting + Unforgettable views = Best activity EVER!
Splendido Olive Oil Tasting
-This was one of our favorite activities throughout the week. We started with exploring Portofino and then we were taken up a hill to the Splendido Hotel (AMAZING) and had an Olive Oil Tasting on the patio that overlooked Portofino. The views were truly breathtaking!
Hiking Trip from Portofino to Santa Margherita
-While this hike was NOT for the faint of heart, it was the most beautiful hike imaginable. We hiked from Portofino to Santa Margherita (6.5 miles) and saw towns that were only accessible by walking. This also included the most amazing views and a locally made sweet treat that was made especially for the hikers!
Tour of Eze and Villa Rothschild
-This is the cutest town on top of a mountain. There are shops along the way to the top with unique artist, jewelers, cafes, and boutiques. After reaching the top, there was a garden with views all the way to St. Tropez!
We ended our last night on the ship with an amazing Masquerade dinner. It was a fun way to change up things on the ship and created and unforgettable last evening!
The ship was fairly small as it only holds 300 people. With our group being 50 people, we took up a decent amount of the ship. We think the thing that really made the trip though, was the staff and how accommodating and kind they were. Not only did they study every single person’s picture before us getting on the boat, they greeted you with our name and a smile.
The food and drinks were amazing and so was the live entertainment. The band on board knew every genre of music and each night was a different type. Our group LOVED this! And so did we! The rooms on the ship were great and due to upgrading our attendees to suites, each guest had 2 bathrooms and a living area in their room. This made the week on the ship much more enjoyable.
If you’re thinking about cruising and/or visiting Europe, we highly suggest this trip! It was a one-of-a-kind experience that we will never forget! We cannot say enough good things about this incentive experience!
